The Wonderful Flower Show

One of the highlights of the Kent County Show has always been the Flower Tent and Show Gardens, it is Kent’s very own mini Chelsea Flower Show.  The Marquee is split into two, with exhibitors showing exceptional plants from some of the Country’s finest Nurseries and the other half full of competition entries from NAFAS.  Class 5 is open to non-members of the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies.

This year the competition entries will all pay homage to poems, with floral classes titled; ‘If you want to get ahead get a hat’ this is a craft class with the hat to be made from plant material, ‘Raging sea did roar’ this will be staged off the ground on a pedestal.

The Show gardens are looking to receive a Gold Medal and Best in Show, and do not disappoint visitors, last year Hadlow College won the coveted prize with their ‘Squared Circle’ concept garden.
