The Living Land

On Thursday 6th May (election day), whilst most of the Country is at the Polling Stations, 3,000 school children from 58 Kent Primary Schools, will be at the Kent Showground taking part in their very own mini-Kent Show.

The children aged 7 - 9 will be learning all about food, farming and the countryside with fun and interactive activities from various organisations that believe education is paramount.

The children will arrive in the morning and take part in a range of activities throughout the day, including a bird of prey demonstration, The Sheep Show, hands on with the animals brought along by Kent Young Farmers and a number of tasting sessions, games and information from the many organisations in the large indoor interactive area.

The event which started in 2003 has gone from strength to strength and there is now a waiting list of schools who would like to participate in this free event.  If you are a school and would like more information for the 2011 event please contact the Showground on 01622 630975.  This event is strictly for invited schools only and not for the general public.
