Kent County Show announces new appointment
Kent County Agricultural Society is delighted to announce the appointment of a new Executive Manager. Roger Moore who comes from a strong agricultural sales and marketing background will take up the position at the beginning of October.
George Jessel, DL Chairman of the Society said “We have been interviewing for this role for some time and Roger fitted the brief perfectly. I am confident that we now have the right person in place to steer the Society into 2011 and beyond.
Roger Moore will be responsible not only for the highly successful Kent County Show but for the whole portfolio of events and exhibitions which now take place at the showground in Detling.
Roger, who lives locally near Ashford and has many contacts within the agricultural industry said “ This is a challenge I am really looking forward to and I will be ensuring that the 1million refurbishment of the Stanley Cornwallis building is completed on time and within budget for the start of the 2011 season. My other responsibilities include a new traffic management plan for the annual County Show in July.”
Roger will be heading up the permanent team of experienced staff at Detling and liaising closely with the Board of Directors and the Members of the Kent County Agricultural Society.
